The Preiss-family has been growing wine in the Traisen valley for more than 100 years now.

Coming from the famous Wachau valley, grandfather Leopold acquired the mixed farm in Theyern in what is now the Traisental wine-growing region in 1913. In addition to agriculture, animal husbandry and fruit growing, wine already played a role back then. Over the years, the family planted more and more fruit trees on their fields and leased or bought more vineyards. Through slow, but steady and thoughtful development, the family estate grew to its current size.
